Há seis anos no mercado, Rui resume o cotidiano da profissão em poucas palavras, “A incerteza da rotina é a única certeza do dia a dia”, onde o desafio é constante: GET THE JOBS!
Falando em Jobs, segundo o fotógrafo, o bom trabalho começa na bagagem cultural, desde o livro de colorir comprado pelos pais na gôndola ao lado do caixa do mercado.
“A tecnologia é obviamente uma faca de dois gumes, necessitamos dela no dia a dia e precisamos nos manter atualizados, mas a cultura… Tá aí um item mais importante do que TER equipamentos. Equipamento a gente consegue da noite para o dia, alugado, emprestado, comprado… A cultura vem em doses mínimas durante toda a sua vida, o primeiro livro de colorir, o show daquela banda que você ama, aquele grafite que te chapou naquela sua viagem… E sem essa vivência com a cultura, o trabalho fica limitado, tedioso, protocolar. Um Viva à cultura!”
