Design e Fotografia andam lado a lado desde que nasceram no século XIX. Deram as mãos, evoluíram juntos e hoje o mundo está assim, cheio de designers que querem ser fotógrafos e fotógrafos que querem ser designers.
É comum que as pessoas em geral misturem as duas profissões, já que as semelhanças técnicas são inúmeras como contraste, ritmo, equilíbrio, etc. Artifícios que, na verdade, pertencem ao grande grupo das artes visuais.
A diferença fundamental está principalmente no conceito. O Design é declaradamente objetivo. Já a Fotografia permite-se ser subjetiva. O Design tem um apelo mais comercial, sendo usado em peso no ramo publicitário, enquanto a Fotografia possui a veia artística mais latente, mesmo podendo ter fins lucrativos.
Aplicando Design e Fotografia ao trabalho
Compreender as duas áreas é um ótimo caminho para o desenvolvimento profissional nas artes visuais, um designer que faça o estudo das imagens pode elevar suas noções de estética, o que proporciona ainda mais qualidade ao resultado final de seu trabalho. Já ao aprender a tirar fotos, poderá desenvolver noções de composição de imagem, isso significa que ficará mais fácil entender como os elementos de uma mesma peça conversam entre si e dão origem a uma obra final mais harmônica.
